After you have successfully registered as a user, you are ready to make your first request and order.
To do this, first set up a connection to a supplier:
1. Administration > Partner Search & Info.
2. First find the desired supplier by entering the appropriate search parameters (organisation name, postcode, city, TecCom ID, etc) and click on Search for Partner.
3. When you find the supplier in the list of search results, click on the +-sign (Add this business partner) in this line.
4. Enter the customer and supplier number (if available) in the corresponding field and click on Save.
5. Confirm the "Save changes?" window with Yes.
6. The business relationship has now the status "Pending" until the supplier activates the relationship. Only when the business relationship has been activated by the supplier you can request and order from this supplier.
Please note that only users with administrator rights can set up new business relationships. They also have the possibility to define the responsibilities of a user for the respective business relationship. For more information on this, see the help article Users.
As soon as the business relationship has been activated by the supplier, you can send your first enquiry/order as follows:
1. Request & Order.
2. New Request or Order.
3. Select the desired supplier under General Supply Information.
4. Enter an article number of the corresponding supplier in the Product No. field under Part number entry.
5. Enter the desired quantity in the field Qty.
6. Click on Request.
7. If in the response a green dot is displayed in the line of the article, you can order it by clicking on Order.
This is the quickest and easiest way to place an order. However, you have the option to add additional parameters to an order, such as shipping method, currency, consignee, etc., and to distinguish between an express order and a stock order.
